Before you install

What this installer is, and what it is not.

It does

  • Downloads the modpack, mod loader and Java for the arc you pick
  • Keeps all of it updated automatically
  • Signs you in through Microsoft
  • Installs to your own user folder

It never

  • Asks for administrator rights
  • Sees or stores your Microsoft password
  • Touches anything outside its own folder
  • Is distributed anywhere but this page

Code-signed by Microsoft

Signed through Microsoft Azure Trusted Signing, so Windows verifies the publisher on every install. Sign-in is your own Microsoft account, the same login as Minecraft; credentials go to Microsoft, never to us.

If your antivirus complains

Some engines flag the embedded Chromium runtime (MCEF/jcef) that powers the in-game web menu. That is a known false positive, not a detection. Open Settings in the launcher and run Fix Antivirus to clear it.

If SmartScreen appears

"Windows protected your PC" on a fresh release is expected: a newly signed build has not built download reputation with Microsoft yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.

PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\Arcbound-Setup-1.2.24.exe -Algorithm SHA512. The Hash it prints should match exactly. Windows also shows the developer's name on the certificate, which is expected.

The Arcbound launcher showing Arc One, the Jujutsu Kaisen world, ready to play

Arc One

Jujutsu Kaisen. Forge 1.20.1.

The same Arcbound launcher showing Arc Two, the Arcadia Cobblemon world

Arc Two

Arcadia, Cobblemon. Fabric 1.21.1.

The same client, one login. Switching worlds is one click - the launcher handles both mod sets for you.

Every arc, one install

Pick a world and press Play. The right modpack, mod loader, and Java for that arc install themselves.

Always current

Updates arrive signed, from arcbound.org only, the moment you open the client. Broken installs repair themselves.

One identity

Your account, cloaks, hats, titles, and Arc Pass travel with you across every world on the network.

What's new in v1.2.24

  • Home is rebuilt as a console. Your world, your stats, the store and the news sit on one screen, so you never scroll to see where you stand.
  • Navigation moved to an icon dock down the left edge, which leaves the top bar for who you are and whether the client is ready.
  • A new opening animation that plays while the launcher loads instead of after it, so the wait is the show rather than an extra delay.
  • The crash reporter no longer blames 'Authentication failed' or 'Java not found' for sessions that actually closed normally.
  • Creator codes now register on install. They had been failing silently.

Stuck on install? Hop into the Discord and staff will get you in.
